Formerly known as Cool Edit, Adobe audition cc mac is a professional audio editing, processing and recording tool. Adobe audition cc mac supports encoding to and decoding from Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital+ formats without the use of any external plug-ins or third-party technology.
The 2014 version of Adobe’s audio processing software Audition CC supports 5.1 Dolby Digital and 7.1 Dolby Digital+ audio content, while offering feature-enhanced multitrack editing and a wide range of enhancements and the ability to customise sound channels to optimise and enhance the editing experience, giving users a richer audio editing experience than ever before.
Features
Audition will automatically select the best matching channel configuration. For example, stereo files will be encoded in a 2/0 configuration and Dolby 5.1 audio files will be encoded in a 3/2 configuration with LFE enabled.
The user can change the channel configuration using the Dolby Digital Settings dialog. Depending on the channel configuration selected, Audition will automatically scale to the desired channel layout. If you need to apply a mixdown, a warning icon will be displayed next to the Change button in the Sample Type field. Move the cursor over this warning icon to see the resulting settings that the file will be converted to.
Software Features
Audition offers a variety of user interface enhancements to help users work more efficiently with multitrack projects. Visual enhancements (such as improved visibility, minimising tracks that are not currently operational and randomly assigning track colours) help users to work more easily with complex audio projects. Audition now provides higher contrast between the waveform and the background of the selected audio track. By increasing the contrast of the selected audio track, the visibility of the clip content is further enhanced.
If there are tracks in the user’s project that do not need to be displayed or that the user is not currently operating on, these tracks can be minimised. When the user minimises a track, that track will be set to a minimum height and locked, thus preventing resizing when zooming. This feature is particularly useful when working with large and complex projects.
Minimising a track is done as follows: select the track in the multitrack editor and then select Multitrack > Tracks > Minimise Selected Track. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Shift+\ (Win and Mac). To restore a minimised track to its original height, select Multitrack > Tracks > Restore Minimised Selected Tracks. Alternatively you can use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+\ (Win) or Cmd+Shift+\ (Mac).
